The outgoing President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo signed a new Government Regulation (PP) No. 25/2024 on the revision to PP 96/2001 on mineral and coal mining business activities. This new regulation allows a religion-based mass organization (ormas) to control special mining permit area or special mining concession (WIUPK).
