Towards the end of last week, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) officially announced the latest case of alleged corruption at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise and has named the former Head of the Customs and Excise Office in Yogyakarta, Eko Darmanto, as suspect. The disclosure of this case was part of the crackdown which also ultimately ensnared Andhi Pramono, the one who led the institution’s office in Makassar, South Sulawesi.
