The tension is flaring ahead of 2024 elections. The so-called Tim Pembela Demokrasi Indonesia (TPDI) or the Indonesian Democracy Defense Team, a legal aid organization that strongly affiliated to the ruling party PDIP, reported President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPU) for allegation of collusion and nepotism.
