Back in May 2016, dozens of pilots working at PT Lion Mentari Airlines (Lion Air) and grouped in the workers union sued the company policies that were considered exploiting the pilots. The company did not want to lose and filed a police report, and even sued the parties to court on the grounds that the pilots have actually committed a default. A year later, the Central Jakarta District Court decided to take sides with the pilots and partially granted their lawsuit. Last week, seven years after the case was uncovered, a new lawsuit was filed by the former pilots against Lion Air.
