At the end of 2021, the South Sulawesi High Prosecutors’ Office (Kejati Sulsel) announced that they were investigating allegations of corruption within the Makassar City Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM Makassar). Prosecutors revealed that this case started with the audit findings of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK). We have to wait for more than a year before the prosecutor announces the progress of the investigation and names suspects, one of whom is Haris Yasin Limpo, younger brother of the Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo. When the announcement was made, we immediately remembered another corruption case that also ensnared Syahrul’s younger sister, Dewie Yasin Limpo.
