The Central Bank of the United States (US) Federal Reserve or The Fed raised its benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points to a range of 4.5–4.75%, the highest level since 2007. The European Central Bank (ECB) also raised the interest rate on the main refinancing operations by 50 basis points to 3%, the highest level since late 2008, tradingeconomics.com reported.
