We know there are a few changes in the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) that didn’t get the spotlight. One of which is the fact the Solicitor General for Military Crimes started handling connectivity cases, cases involving civilian and military elements. A new chamber aimed to resolve these cases was formed through Presidential Decree (Keppres) No. 15/2021 in the middle of 2021. We know the importance of this chamber because even though it is not widely reported, the military is not immune from various kinds of problems that need to be handled openly. One of the cases currently handled using this method is the case of corruption in the army (TNI AD) related to the housing savings funds which reportedly caused State losses amounted to over Rp130 billion. The trial of the first case will end soon.
