The Bank Indonesia (BI) Board of Governors agreed on 16th and 17th November 2022 to raise the BI 7-Day Reverse Repo Rate (BI7DRR) by 50bps to 5.25%, the fourth hike this year, as it sought to curb inflation that was above the upper limit of BI’s 2-4% target for the fifth straight month while supporting the rupiah.
