Flag carrier Garuda Indonesia (GIAA) suffered loss of US$4.17 billion, equivalent to Rp62.55 trillion, in 2021, expanded from loss US$2.44 billion (Rp35.58 trillion) in 2020. For a comparison, Singapore Airlines Group posted net loss of $962 million in the financial year 2021/22 ended March 31, 2022, fell sharply from $4.27 billion in 2020/21.
