Indonesia’s consumer confidence index surged 15.8 points to an all-time high of 128.9 in May of 2022 from 113.1 in the previous month, due to a further easing COVID-19 restrictions and increasing vaccinations, with all of the six main sub-indices rising: the assessment of current economic conditions (up 17.5 points to 116.4); economic outlook (up 14.3 points to 141.5); the assessment of current income (up 19.1 points to 125.3); income expectations for the next six months (up 7.9 points to 139.4); job availability compared to six months ago (up 17.8 points to 113.7), and job availability expectations (up 16.9 points to 142.1).
