The composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) closed higher 1.4% at 4,178 Tuesday (Sep. 29), regained from earlier losses. The index touched its lowest at 4,033 at yesterday’s trading. The investors at the Jakarta bourse welcomed the government’s economic policy package for phase 2 announced Tuesday. While Asian stock markets tumbled yesterday as fears about China’s cooling economy rippled through global markets, Reuters reported.
