It seems that President-elect Joko “Jokowi” Widodo is committed to resolving stalled human rights cases. The President-elect is supposedly considering to establish the long-delayed ad hoc human rights tribunal. Jokowi would first discuss the idea in a meeting with human rights activists and commissioners of the National Commission on Human Rights (Komnas HAM) on either this Thursday (Aug. 28) or Friday (Aug. 29). Is this for real, or is this just lip service for his disgruntled constituents, or is there some other political motivation behind this maneuver?
