Markets appeared to mostly shrug off the latest developments in Syria in the early going following U.S.-led precision missile strikes in Syria on Friday U.S. time. The strikes, carried out in conjunction with the U.K. and France, were intended to serve as a deterrent against chemical weapons, according to U.S. President Donald Trump.

Corporate Results

Private-owned hospital Siloam Hospitals (SILO) reported a 4% growth in net profit to Rp103.5 billion in 2017, supported by a 13% growth in revenues. SILO generated net cash flow of Rp225.8 billion from operation during 2017, lower from 2016. It invested Rp3.07 trillion, compared to only Rp568 billion spent in investment over the course of 2016.
