Looks like that 2018 and 2019 have been set as ‘investment’ years after three years of ‘infrastructure push’ by Jokowi-Kalla administration. The issue, once again, is not lacking of interest in Indonesia. It is about the government’s ability to reform, paving the way for existing investors to get the so-called Izin Pinjam Pakai Kawasan Hutan (IPPKH) or the Forest Utilization Permit. IPPKH is still a pain in the ass for most investors, especially those planning to expand mineral processing facilities.
