Pharmaceutical firm Kalbe Farma (KLBF) is now underway to setting up a joint venture (JV) with its strategic partner in Myanmar. The Company wants to build a factory producing medicines products in Myanmar after establishing a factory in Africa. KLBF allocates Rp200 billion for building a factory in Myanmar, starting its construction this year, taking 1-2 years for completion.

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Tuesday (Feb. 27) inaugurated the factory of PT Kalbio Global Medika (KGM), a subsidiary of pharmaceutical firm Kalbe Farma (KLBF). This factory is located in Cikarang (West java). It produces raw material for medicine and biological products. KGM spent Rp500 billion on this factory.
