On Emirsyah Satar’s Case – Key People?

This week, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) continue their examinations of witnesses related to the case which ensnared the former President Director of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk Emirsyah Satar. The KPK has so far examined several familiar names who are (coincidentally) linked to other familiar names. Although the KPK have not published any important progress, we can’t help but wonder. It is interesting to see how the KPK are treating Emirsyah and Soetikno Soedarjo in comparison to other graft suspects. After almost two years of investigations, the two suspects remain free. Soetikno reportedly celebrated his birthday two weeks ago in Thailand.

Emir Satar’s Wife Passes Away…

Sandrina Abubakar, wife of Emirsyah Satar, former president director of flag carrier Garuda Indonesia (GIAA), passed away Wednesday (Aug 1) afternoon. Condolences to Pak Emir, of course. It’s been difficult years for him, especially after named as corruption suspect by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in early 2017.

Corruption Journal: Prosecutor’s Demand for Setya Novanto and Emirsyah Satar

The trail of Setya Novanto will end soon. Last week, the prosecutors read their demands in front of the Panel of Judges and at the same time rejected Setya Novanto’s proposal to be a Justice Collaborator. Also last week, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) decided to seized a house in Pondok Indah, South Jakarta, registered on behalf of Emirsyah Satar. Emirsyah, as we all know, is now a suspect in the case of alleged corruption back when he was still the president director of Garuda Indonesia.
