Jokowi vs PKS Boys
The chairman of the University of Indonesia’s Student Executive Body (BEM UI) made news for raising a yellow card to President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo as a sign of protest. Talking to the press after the protest, BEM UI Chairman Zaadit Taqwa said that the yellow card he raised was a warning issued in relation to the malnutrition case in the Asmat regency, the Government’s plan to appoint two police generals as acting governors, and the new regulation from the Minister of Education to curb the space for student groups. Jokowi responded the protest calmly. The president said that he’d send members of BEM UI to the Asmat regency.
