Global stock markets mostly ended higher on Wednesday (Oct. 20). In the United States (US), the Dow Jones hit a fresh intraday record high at 35,670, and the S&P 500 rose for the 6th straight day as strong corporate results counter investors’ concerns about rising inflation.
