Some still believe that the Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General Andika Perkasa and the Navy Chief of Staff (KSAL) Admiral Yudo Margono are still the frontrunners to become the next Military Commander (Panglima TNI) to replace Air Chief Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, who only has three months left before his mandatory retirement in November 2021. There could still be a plot twist. President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo could pick a younger general to become Commander Hadi’s successor.
