National cement consumption grew 3.01% to 5.46 million tons in July 2021, declined 1.62% from 5.55 million tons in June 2021 due to the restriction of mobility and activity (PPKM) policy. Cement consumption in the Java area fell 5.5% to 2.85 million tons. Cement consumption in the Maluku and Papua area contracted 9.2% to 151,000 tons, the first contraction this year. Cement consumption in the Sumatera area only increased 0.9% to 1.16 million tons.
