Cita Mineral Investindo (CITA), bauxite miner and co-owner of Indonesia’s first smelter grade alumina (SGA), booked profit attributable to owners of Rp305.8 billion in the first half (H1) of 2021, grew 14.5% year on year (y/y), helped by a jump in equity in net profit of associate and a 39% cut in income tax expenses. The Company recorded Rp115.7 billion from the equity in net profit of associate, compared to Rp17 billion only in H1 of 2020. It also paid an income tax of Rp68.7 billion in the said period, compared to the Rp113 billion it paid in H1 of 2020.
