The Government of Indonesia projected the economy to grow by 5.4-6% in 2022, higher than this year’s 5.3%, supported by the expected growth in investment, export, and job creation. Global rating agency Standard and Poor’s (S&P) recently rated Indonesia at BBB, reflecting the country’s solid economic growth prospects and historically judicious policy dynamics that the authorities continue to pursue. Meanwhile, fiscal risks and external risks related to the Covid-19 pandemic still need to be considered.
