Global stock markets again closed mixed on Tuesday (Jan. 19), with United States (US) stocks rebounding for the first session in three, as stimulus bets and vaccination plans outweighed lackluster bank earnings. On Sunday, Dr. Rochelle Walenksy, President Biden’s pick to lead the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), said she was confident the US would have enough vaccine doses to inoculate 100 million people in 100 days.
