The International Monetary Fund (IMF) revised its 2021 global growth projection to 5.5% from 5.2%, amid expectations of a vaccine-powered strengthening of activity later in the year and additional policy support in a few large economies, according to its latest World Economic Outlook. For 2020, the contraction was revised lower to 3.5% from a 4.4% plunge seen in October.
