Oil prices traded higher on Tuesday, after Saudi Arabia announced on Monday it will cut production by an extra 1 million barrel per day starting in June, on top of the reduction previously agreed under the latest OPEC+ deal. The move eased concerns about oversupply and the capacity of storage facilities but gains were capped by demand worries amid a resurgence in coronavirus cases after countries started reopening their economies.
