Retail sales in Indonesia declined by 4.5% year-on-year in March 2020, after a 0.8% drop in the previous month. This was the fourth straight month of decline in retail trade, and the steepest fall since September 2011, amid restriction measures that led consumers to stay at home. On a monthly basis, retail sales rose 1.6% in March, the first increase since last December, following a 0.5% drop in February.
