Global stock markets tumbled on Monday (March 16)  amid escalating fears over the widening economic fallout from the COVID-19 outbreak after another emergency rate cut by the Federal Reserve on March 15. But US futures had modest gains early in Asia on Tuesday (March 17), with US President Donald Trump warning that the economic disruption from the virus could last into summer, Bloomberg reported.
