PT Sari Bumi Indopower has in Jan 31, 2018 purchased 622.5 million shares of paper producer Suparma (SPMA) at price of Rp248 per share, or Rp154.38 billion in total, as part of tax amnesty program. After this transaction, Sari Bumi, owned by Welly who acts as director for Suparma, holds 37.2% shares in Suparma. SPMA booked net profit of Rp59 billion in Jan-Sep 2017 period (9M) on sales of Rp1.52 trillion. Its assets reached Rp2.19 trillion while liability amounted Rp1.03 trillion.
