President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo have been visiting infrastructure projects in the past few weeks, like coal fire-power plants (PLTU) projects, a dam in Banten, a water retention basin in North Kalimantan, the Trans-Sumatera toll road in South Sumatera and North Sumatera, and the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Nusa Tenggara. He also visited Islamic boarding schools (Pesantren), and attended the groundbreaking of the construction of a hospital belonging to the Muhammadiyah’s Pesantren Darul Arqom in West Java. After all that traveling, the President may decide to stay in Jakarta this week to address three crucial issues: the Government regulation in lieu of law No. 2/2017 (otherwise known as Perppu Ormas), the National Police’s (POLRI) proposal for a new anti-corruption task force (Densus Tipikor), and the passage of the 2018 State budget draft (R-APBN). To subscribe please click here
