Export of textile and its products (TPT) reached US$9 billion as of September 2017. For this year, textile export is targeted for US$12 billion, a 1.6% rise compared to US$11.8 billion last year. It is likelihood that textile export would miss target for this year amid low demand in global countries. While United States and European Union set higher import duty for textile and textile products, at 12.5% and 16% respectively.
