PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (TLKM), or Telkom, mulls to launch the initial public offering (IPO) of its unit, PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi (Mitratel) engaging in tower business. The backdoor listing is also option under review. Telkom said it wants to consolidate tower business, to merging Mitratel with tower business of PT Telekomunikasi Seluler (Telkomsel). Telkom also intends to acquire other tower operators. Currently, Mitratel is the third largest tower operator in Indonesia, with market value of over Rp10 trillion.
