While most regional markets closed lower on Wednesday (July 12), investors in the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX)—mainly domestic players—collected local stocks. The composite index gained 0.79%, closing at 5,819. Foreign investors only booked a net sell of Rp7.8 billion yesterday. Year to date, foreign investors have booked a net buy of Rp14.37 trillion. The rupiah, meanwhile, strengthened further to Rp13,368 against the U.S. dollar on Wednesday along with the growing demand on bonds.To subscribe please click here
