Investment fund of life insurance industry grew by 21.34% to Rp420.82 trillion in the first quarter (Q1) this year, compared to Rp346.79 trillion in the same period of 2016. Investment in mutual funds reached 32.9% (Rp138.45 trillion), securities 29.1% , government bonds 14.6%, deposits 12%, property 2.4%, and other instruments. However the investment return for this industry declined 9.3%. Total claims increased 11.6% to Rp24 trillion.
