The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) today reported that Indonesia posted a trade surplus of US$1.24 billion in April of 2017, compared to a US$0.66 billion surplus a year earlier. Year-on-year, exports increased 12.63% to US$13.17 billion, Imports went up 10.31% to US$11.92 billion. In March 2017, trade surplus was upwardly revised to US$1.39 billion. Considering January to April 2017, the goods surplus was recorded US$5.33 billion, exports rose by 18.63% compared to the same period a year earlier to US$53.86 billion while imports increased 13.51% to US$48.53 billion.
