On April 20, 2017, the prosecutors in charge of the trial of the Governor of Jakarta Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama demanded a conditional sentence to be imposed on the Governor. What’s interesting is that the prosecutors concluded that they could not charge Ahok with blasphemy, and instead formed their demand after concluding that Ahok is only guilty of harassment.
