The Government is drafting a new Election Bill that will merge together the Legislative Election Law No. 8/2012 and the Presidential Election Law No. 42/2008. The Bill has not even made it to the House of Representatives (DPR), but lawmakers are already debating on the content of said Bill, particularly with regards to the parliamentary threshold, a minimum percentage of votes required for a political party to be seated in the DPR.To subscribe please click here
