I Putu Sudiartana was arrested by the KPK on June 28. He was caught in a sting operation (OTT) with 5 other suspects—the KPK conducted OTTs in three separate provinces on the same day. Putu is a lawmaker at the Commission III; a Commission that supervises law, politics, and human rights. He was, however, arrested in connection with bribery in road construction projects. The Commission V is the Commission that supervises infrastructure, public works, and public housing sectors. So why on earth would anyone bribe Putu for a construction project when his work has nothing to do with the sector? Putu’s background as a businessman with interest in infrastructure might serve as a hint. To subscribe please click here
