President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has the option of adding more members into the ruling coalition; making them a part of the cabinet. The option has presented itself even more appealingly following Golkar’s extraordinary congress (Munaslub) and the Party’s new leadership’s pledge to support Jokowi’s administration. But, as we’ve repeatedly mentioned in previous articles, the President must be mindful of the consequences of having a fat ruling coalition.
