The House of Representatives (DPR) Commission III will soon conduct a fit and proper test on the candidates for the commissionership of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). The fit and proper is scheduled to be held next week. Of the ten candidates vetted, five will be selected as KPK’s new commissioners. But given the DPR’s appalling performance, it may be a good idea for us to lower our expectations and to start considering to eliminate the DPR’s authority to vet officials of key institutions.To subscribe please click here
