The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle has a lot of options this year. And it’s likely that the party will be exercising a lot of caution given the drama it had had to go through in the past. A highly experienced party, PDI-P may decide to stick to what it knows best: forming a coalition with Islamic parties. Or perhaps, this time, PDI-P is more convinced with the idea of forming a coalition with nationalist parties. If the latter is PDI-P’s choice, who would be Jokowi’s running mate?
