The North Maluku Election Commission (KPUD) declared the incumbent North Maluku Vice Governor, Abdul Gani Kasuba (PKS), as the winner of the province’s gubernatorial election. Abdul Gani Kasuba beat Golkar governor candidate Ahmad Hidayat Mus in the repeated second round of North Maluku election. This is the second comeback for Abdul Gani Kasuba having won the election in the province before in the 2007 North Maluku election.
