The benchmark May 2014 contracts of crude palm oil (CPO) finally settled above RM2800 per ton on Wednesday (Feb 26). The commodity gained 2.56% to RM2804/ton. Falling output and stockpile due to wet weather in Indonesia and Malaysia contributed to the rally. Our research on 27 companies on Bursa Malaysia pointed to 0.7% decline in output last month.
