After years of discussions, the House of Representatives (DPR) has finally passed the Financial Services Authority (OJK) bill into law on Thursday (Oct 27), despite memorandum of objections of four political parties. The country will then have a new super agency with huge authority over banks, capital market, insurance, and consumer financing sector.
