Petredec & Indonesian LPG Market

In December 2008, Bermuda-based Petredec Limited won Pertamina tender to import one million tons of LPG per annum for a period of 10 years (2009-2019). Petredec won the 'competitive bidding' over giants like Shell, BP, Petronas, A1, and Saudi Aramco. How come?

Who's who in LPG supply chain

Vice President Jusuf Kalla and Energy Minister Purnomo Yusgiantoro both blamed lack of supporting infrastructure behind the chaotic supply of LPG to millions of households. Kalla begs for forgiveness, but some angry customers simply condemned government for poor preparation in the implementation kerosene-to-LPG conversion program. BTW, who are key LPG producers? Who controls logistic and transportation to customers?

Forex translation loss cuts PGN's profit
State-owned gas transmission and distribution company PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) Tbk reported net profit of Rp1.57 trillion last year, declined 16.9% from 2006 due to huge forex translation loss.
