Major stock markets in Asia mostly rose on Thursday after US President Joe Biden proposed a sweeping new $1.8 trillion plan aimed at families on Wednesday. Traders also welcomed the US Fed’s decision to stay dovish and keep its monthly bond-buying at the current pace. The Hang Seng led the gains, reaching its highest in nearly 1-1/2 months; while the ASX hovered around a 14-month high. Markets in Japan were closed due to holidays.
