Bank Syariah Indonesia (BRIS) plans to launch the rights issue, offering new shares by the end of this year or early next year, to meet the minimum required free float of 7.5%. That rights issue is expected to raise US$500 million, equivalent to Rp7.2 trillion. The Bank is seeking strategic investors from the Middle East as it plans to expand overseas.
