Despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the rupiah performed well in line with the national economic resilience. In the wake of the pandemic in March 2020, the rupiah weakened to Rp16,500 against the United States (US) dollar, but it recovered in April and reached Rp13,956 on June 8, 2020. The currency was back to weaken in June until early November, picked again to Rp14,985 in September. Since November, the rupiah has traded at a range of Rp14,00-14,200.
