Global stock markets gained on Monday (Feb 1), with United States (US), stocks rebounding from sell-off. Wall Street closed deeply in the green on Monday. It recouped most of the losses from the steepest decline since October amid rising concerns over the GameStop trading frenzy, bubble concerns, and slow vaccine rollouts. On the policy side, a group of ten Republican senators sent Joe Biden a letter urging him to consider a smaller COVID-19 relief proposal that would reduce the size of a new round of checks.
