President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo will receive Indonesia’s first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine on Wednesday, Jan. 13. He will be inoculated with Sinovac’s CoronaVac vaccine, which has received the Indonesian Food and Drug Agency (BPOM)’s Emergency Use Authorization (EUA). The first shot will be followed by the Government’s roll-out of its grand immunization plan. The first phase of which consists of vaccinating over 1 million healthcare workers across the nation. Will the Government succeed in curbing the outbreak?
