The Sampingan, a platform that empowers the largest independent blue-collar workers in Indonesia, raised US$5 million in Series A funding led by investors Altara Ventures. The investment fund gives the fresh capital along with Golden Gate Ventures, Antler, Access Ventures, XA Network and iSeed SEA.

In October 2020, the provider has secured US$1.5 million in a pre-series A round led by Golden Gate Ventures, Antler and other investors. Since established in 2018 until 2020, The Sampingan’ businesses has grow by threefold.

Now, the platform has more than 850,000 working partners, both on temporary and permanent contracts called Kawan Sampingan. Since entering the market in January 2019, the operator has bagged US$500,000 in seed funding from Golden Gate in December 2018, following a US$100,000 pre-seed round with Antler. The Sampingan application was established by Wisnu Nugrahadi together with his colleagues, Margana Mohamad and Dimas Pramudya.
